Ways to Wear Letter Shirts

Since we all have to wear letters tomorrow, what's more appropriate than ideas for ways to wear them?!

1.  Relaxed

This is a great way to wear letters on a day when you feel like being comfortable, but you still want to be cute.  Throw on a scarf with those jeans and that sweater, rock the cowboy boots and you are ready for the day!
2.  Chic

So, maybe it is your style to be more fancy, or you are into the city chic look.  Either way, this is an interesting spin on the typical letter shirt.  If the weather is a little more blustery then tie up the trench, put on a scarf and wear one of your KD buttons on the trench.  You can take off the trench in class and show off your letters.

3.  Feminine

This is a way that can be dressed up or down, depending on the material of the skirt and the cardigan.  You can wear tights with the skirt, or in warmer weather show off your legs that are (hopefully!) sunkissed from spring break!

4.  Cozy

Who knows what Boone weather is going to have in store for us next.  For all we know we could get a huge snow in the middle of March.  For that surprise snow whip out your puffer vest and zip up coat.  If it isn't too cold you can leave it completely unzipped to show your letters or you can have it half zipped to show part of them!

Kappa Delta Fun Facts

First of all, I would like to welcome you all to the first official blog post for KD at Appalachian!  As a council we decided that this would be a fun way for us to connect, not just with our sisters, but also with girls who may one day become our sister!  This is a great way for them to follow what we're doing and keep track of fun things we participate in throughout our campus!
For our first post, we thought it would be fun to talk about some KD fun facts that not all of us may know!!

1.  Leigh Anne and Collins Tuohy
Leigh Anne Tuohy and her daughter Collins were both Kappa Delta at Ole Miss!!
They are most well known for being members of the family who adopted Michael Oher, which then inspired the movie "The Blind Side"!!

2.  Miss USA 1996
Ali Landry was a Kappa Delta.  In 1998 she was named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People".  Pretty neat, huh?

3.  First at ASU
Kappa Delta was the first sorority at Appalachian!!

4.  Highest GPA
We all know this, but I just wanted to throw it out there!  We all have worked really hard to help KD have the highest GPA on campus and we do!! Go ladybugs!!

5.  Shamrock since 1984
Shamrock Events began in 1984, and ever since chapters throughout the country have been hosting Shamrock Events to support the prevention of child abuse!  So get excited for our Shamrock Pancake Dinner coming up on March 23!!
